Main Route (via Liège & E42)
The fastest, most popular route when traveling from the Netherlands or Flanders.
- 1 Near Liège, follow signs for Verviers and continue along the E42 / A60 towards Prüm (Germany).
- 2 Take Exit 4 ‘Prüm’ and follow the B51/B410 towards Gerolstein.
- 3 In Lissingen, turn right (note: inside the curve!) onto the L24 towards Birresborn & Mürlenbach.
- 4 In Mürlenbach at the bridge, turn right towards Schönecken; the 3rd street climbing up to the left is Bergstraße (No. 21, last house).
Country Roads (via Waxweiler)
A stunning scenic drive straight through the rolling countryside of the Eifel.
- 1 From Belgium, take the E42/A60 and exit at Exit 5 ‘Waxweiler’ for a beautiful rural route.
- 2 Drive through Neustrassburg and Densborn directly through the valley towards Mürlenbach.
- 3 In the center of Mürlenbach, turn left before the bridge towards Schönecken.
- 4 The 3rd street climbing to the left is Bergstraße (No. 21, last house by the forest).
Route via Germany (E29)
Ideal when traveling from Central, Eastern, or Northern Netherlands via Venlo or Aachen.
- 1 Cross the border at Venlo or Aachen and follow the motorway towards Cologne/Euskirchen and the A1 / E29 into the Eifel.
- 2 Follow the route past Euskirchen and Hillesheim towards Gerolstein.
- 3 From Gerolstein, head towards Prüm and turn left at Lissingen towards Birresborn/Mürlenbach.
- 4 In Mürlenbach at the bridge, turn right towards Schönecken; the 3rd street left uphill is Bergstraße (No. 21).
